Corporate Citizenship

‘‘Corporate Citizenship’ is for many companies just another buzz phrase to pay lip service to. For Maxell, it is a concept that underpins every activity we undertake. Maxell believes that corporate activity should be run in such a way as to have a positive effect on the world in which we live.

For us that means a total commitment to tackling environmental issues and minimising any impact our business might have on our surroundings. To that end, the company has established a series of Environment Promotion Offices to run in conjunction with our manufacturing and trading operations. Their job is to rigorously enforce Maxell’s environment protection policy, and promote new ways of running our business in harmony with the world around us. The policy stands on four key principles:

  • All production activities must be environmentally considerate
  • A commitment to make products that are environmentally friendly
  • Co-existence with local communities
  • Environmental management, that actively promotes these three principles and aims for harmony among them.

These standards are under constant revision as we strive to meet even stricter targets for emissions and the minimising of environmental impact. We have built our approach on providing our customers with an efficient, high quality, adaptable and responsive service with continuous improvement. We take Corporate Social Responsibility and safety very seriously.

Maxell Europe is regularly audited and has passed a Certificate of Approval from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance to follow the Environmental Management System: ISO 14001:2004.
